4 monitors on the go? …really???
I just saw something insane on kickstarter, the ACEELE 4K Smart Portable Quad Monitor. You read that right, portable quad monitor.
It immediately hit me like one of those wild CES prototypes, anyone remember the Razor mask? (It actually turned into a real product). The kind of product that makes headlines and then disappears into the realm of vaporware and unreleased ambition.
But considering how much innovation we’ve seen in portable screens lately, coming out of Asia, portable OLED monitors with high refresh rate and resolution (looking at you, Uperfect)- I have to admit, there might be something here. The hardware space is less predictable than ever, and every now and then, one of these insane concepts turns out to be… real functional devices.
Still, I can’t shake my initial reaction: this is an insane idea. Four monitors. For your laptop. On the go. My mind spins.
Looking closer, though, the “quad” bit might be a bit of a stretch. You’re not actually packing four full screens. It’s two screens built into a folding frame, using your laptop as the third. A dock gives you the *option* to plug in a fourth external display.
So technically, yes, it’s a quad-screen setup, but not in the way the headline suggests.

Price
$469 on kickstarter for the early birds doesn’t feel totally… unhinged either. Not exactly pocket change, but also not off-the-charts for something like this.
Would I buy it? No. But do I love that it exists? Absolutely! It’s 2025, and the idea of unfolding a mission control center from a backpack while you are waiting a cold brew, feels like exactly the kind of energy this gloomy year needs.
Ludicrous? Sure. But fun. And that’s got to count for something.
